Cool Autumn Air, Fresh Pages, and a Big Reveal on the Horizon!

Hey, y'all!

If you listen closely, you can almost hear the collective sigh of relief from all of us who have been surviving the summer heat. I'm sighing the loudest! I wasn't cut out for summer so I'm tickled ten shades of pink that summer is over and fall is here! Sweaters, crisp mornings, and pumpkin spice and caramel apple energy, the trees changing into a patchwork of color—what’s not to love? Unfortunately, the summer was so hot and dry, we won't see the brilliant colors, but I'll take what I can get.

This season brings a whole new layer of excitement for me because fall means book events! I've been so tied up with getting my house ready for market that I've been going a little stir crazy. I am eagerly looking forward to getting out and chatting with readers in person again.

Keep an eye on my Facebook page to see where I’ll be popping up over the next couple of months. In the past, I loaded up my fall schedule with events. I won't have as many this year with everything else going on, but I'm happy I'll be able to manage a few.

Beyond the events, there is so much brewing behind the scenes:

• A New Book & A Brand-New Series: Book one of the It Girl Series is finished and is still on schedule for a November 3rd release. I called it the It Girl because Clara Bow, the silent screen star of the 1920s was the original "It" girl.

• Cover Reveal Coming Soon: The book cover is always the most exciting part of writing a new book. In fact, sometimes I think I write the book just so I can see the new cover! The talented Mariah Sinclair created the cover and I'm going to reveal it very soon so keep your peepers peeled for the new It Girl cover for Feathers, Fringe, & Foul Play. I just LOVE this cover and I think you will too!

• I have a special secret "speakeasy" of bonus materials for book one and two for readers subscribed to my newsletter (or you can wait and read book one).

  
  

If I’m being completely honest, my writing rhythm took a bit of a hit recently with all my time and energy going into my house. While I am incredibly relieved that huge task is checked off the list, it definitely hijacked my writing time.

But now the hard labor is done, and I am officially back in the driver’s seat with Clara and Ginger! We are settled in, fired up, and ready to roll on bringing the new book and series into the world. I can't wait to get book 1 revised and complete book 2, which is already well underway.
